• Payment Information: Processed securely through Stripe; we do not store credit card details

• Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, interactions, and time spent
• Device Information: Browser type, operating system, and device identifiers
• Log Data: IP address, access times, and referring URLs

• Google OAuth: If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture
• Stripe: Payment confirmation and transaction status (not credit card details)

• Enable referrals between candidates and referrers
• Allow recruiters to discover candidates who are "Open to Work"

4. Information Sharing and Disclosure

4.1 Public Information

Your public profile (username, name, bio, career stories, and milestones) is visible to other GoalPair users. If you enable "Open to Work," verified recruiters can view your additional details including resume and job preferences.

4.2 Referrals

When you request or receive a referral, relevant profile information is shared between the referrer, candidate, and any recruiters who follow the referral activity.

4.3 Service Providers

We share information with trusted third parties who assist us:

• Stripe: Payment processing
• OpenAI: Powering our AI Assistant (queries are anonymized)
• Brevo: Email delivery
• Cloudinary: Image and file storage
• Render: Hosting infrastructure

4.4 Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of GoalPair, our users, or others.

4.5 Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

9. AI Features

Our AI Assistant ("GoalPair AI") uses artificial intelligence to provide career advice based on community-shared career stories and Ask Me Anything (AMA) content. When you use this feature:

• Your queries are processed by OpenAI's language models
• Queries are not linked to your personal identity when sent to AI providers
• Conversation history is stored to improve your experience
• AI responses are for informational purposes and should not be considered professional career advice

10. Children's Privacy

GoalPair is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 18, we will delete that information promptly.

11. International Data Transfers

GoalPair operates globally. Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have different data protection laws. By using our Service, you consent to such transfers.
